Ireland is often overlooked for charter, thanks in part to its short but wide-open sea passages.  With several coasts to choose from, there is plenty of variety for every requirement.  The stretch between Cork and the Dingle Peninsula is the most popular cruising area, with an abundance of natural harbors and great scenery.  The West coast is more exposed, with many uninhabited islands scattered along it.

River boat charters on the Shannon provide a more protected vacation, with well-laid out itineraries from three days to three weeks. The area is popular with fishermen from around the world and the scenery is wild and varied.

Cork, home of the oldest yacht club in the world, the Royal Cork Yacht Club, is a hub for sailing and both bareboat and crewed charters are available.
