The Spanish Mediterranean coastline runs south and west from the French border all the way to Gibraltar, the gateway to the Mediterranean. Favorite charter areas include Costa Brava (from Barcelona to the French border), Costa Blanca (the coastline east and west of Alicante), and the Balearic Islands (Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera). Modern marinas are common in all three areas. Valencia’s recent association with the America’s Cup has greatly improved the infrastructure in that region, and charter options to fit any budget are available in every major city.
