The Virgin Islands together comprise some of the most renowned yachting areas in the world, for good reason. They offer all of the ingredients for the perfect yachting holiday – consistent winds, excellent moorings, gorgeous tropical islands, destinations varying from posh hotels to deserted sandy beaches, shipwrecks, excellent snorkelling and diving, relaxing beach restaurants, and a pace and charm that perfectly fits yachting.

St Thomas, the most developed of the islands (but still gorgeous), offers a well serviced airport and is the standard departure port for large crewed yachts. St Johns is largely untouched, and a favorite with many sailors who want tranquility, beautiful sailing, and private anchorages.

The British Virgin Islands gave birth to the Bareboat industry, and to this day retain their attraction as a premier charter destination. Many of the most popular boats today are crewed catamarans, because of their comfort and the great local knowledge of the crew.

The BVI offers line-of-site sailing to many excellent islands, including Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke.
