Annapolis Boat Show Adds Charter Vacation Basin

If you’re into sailboats you probably know the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland, is coming up soon. It runs from October 4 through October 8, and is held in the water, right downtown. And this year, the world’s oldest in-the-water new sailboat show has an added twist.

Hit the Vacation Basin at the Annapolis show, and you could win big!

A new feature called the Vacation Basin has been added to the venue, and it’s all about charters: bareboat and crewed, in destinations around the world. Visit the Vacation Basin and you could be in for a serious adventure, cost-free. Numerous prizes are being given out by charter companies, as well as a big door prize you can win just by entering: seven days in the British Virgin Islands, including airfare, courtesy of the BVI tourism board.

Here are some of the other cool give-aways taking place at the Vacation Basin.

-Florida Yacht Charters & Sales is donating a three day, two night charter.
-LateSail USA is offering a $1,000 voucher good for a charter anywhere in the world, when booked within six months of the boat show.
-MarineMax Vacations is donating a seven day, six night bareboat charter in the BVI.
-Island Yacht Charters is giving $1,000 off on their top seasonal charter rate ($6,400).
-Miami Beach’s Capts. Margie and Harold are giving away a day of couple’s cruising classes aboard their 41 Morgan Out Island sailboat.
-Dream Yacht Charters is giving away a week’s charter in the BVI on a 40 foot catamaran.
-BaySail is offering up a free basic sailing class for one.
-Kiriacoulis Mediterranean is offering a one-week bareboat charter in Greece, aboard a 44 foot sailboat.

Of course, along with all these Vacation Basin giveaways, the sailboat show will be featuring a slew of cool new boats. This year, in fact, there will be ten boats having their world premieres in Annapolis. Other show highlights include seminars by sailing experts about basic rigging, electronic navigation, and crossing the Gulf Stream.
